Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP)
|
| |
EVP or Electric Voice phenomena is an unexplained event in which voices or other noises imprint on an electronic recording device. Many people think this is one of the ways that the dead may contact the living, while others think it may be caused by electronic interference. The majority of the time, nothing is heard by people in the area but voices or noises are found on the recording when it is played back at a later time. One of the many theories given is that spirits speak at a higher frequency that is not heard by the naked ear but can be picked up by recording devices.
Please remember that Electronic Voice Phenomena or EVPs are speculative and by their very nature open to the interpretation of an individual listener. What we state here is what we, as individuals, are hearing and only one of the possible conclusions for each of the EVPs. We therefore wish to present our EVPs to you in a way that will help you hear them without knowing what we believe to have heard.
This is the Play Button. This button that will play the EVP for you.
This is the Information Button. This button will show you what we feel we are hearing. All you need to do is move the pointer of your mouse over the button. Text will "pop up" telling you what we believe we are hearing. You may want to try it now on this button before continuing, if a mesage does not appear you may need to click on the button and wait a second.

Hells Church
|
| |
These EVP were recorded over our many investigations of Hell's Church in Canton Georgia.
EVP 1
This EVP, which sounds to us like an older woman, was caught as we were preparing to leave Hell's Church. At the time of this recording, Laurie was the only woman near the recorder and her voice can be heard as the EVP begins. The voice was recorded over Laurie and you can still hear a little of her voice in the background. We wonder if the older woman its saying this because of where she is or was it because we stopped by to visit?

Southeast Georgia Home - Pearle's House

Here are some of the EVPs we are collecting at the site of an ongoing investigation. The family feels that they are being haunted by a 16 year old girl, named Pearle, who was killed in 1910 in a kerosene explosion. It is also believed that there are several more spirits either in the home or on the grounds. After our three investigations in the home we tend to agree with them.
EVP 1
Laurie captured this EVP of Ed asking "Would you like to tell us your name?" on our first investigation of the home. After the question you will hear a short pause then the response that shocked us all.

Soldier's Cemetery
|
| |
Ed captured this incredible EVP of what we felt was an Indian voice. We set out to find a answer and after some hard work for some of our investigators we found that we were correct. We have had this EVP listened to by two different translators who both said that the dialect is an old Creek Indian language and they both were able to translate it for us. This EVP is a voice asking us why we were still there after we had said we were leaving, saying roughly "you said you where leaving".
